Beautiful rooftop pool with amazing views.

I was appalled by the front desk service! After a tiring 6-hour trip, we had to endure a 30-minute wait just to check in. To make matters worse, the concierge denied our child access to the elevator to visit us, stating he wasn't a hotel guest. I've never encountered such unreasonable rules in any five-star property throughout Europe.

Sorrento's culinary scene was a delight, and I couldn't get enough of the freshly baked sourdough bread at breakfast! The rooftop pool area was a perfect spot for evening drinks. Plus, the lemon orchard across the street was a refreshing backdrop!

The breakfast experience could use some pizzazz. the bacon was barely cooked, and the salmon had a bit of a funky vibe. Despite the tasty coffee, it was a chilly cup.

The rooftop pool has stunning views, and there's a lovely garden bar area for relaxed evenings. Perfect for exploring! Dinner was exceptional and included plenty of local wines. The location is ideal, just a short stroll to the town center.

The noise from the street can be quite distracting, especially if your room faces outwards. It's a shame that the indoor amenities are lacking. when it rains, there's hardly anything to do inside the hotel. Plus, inconsistent hot water access can be a bit annoying, particularly during morning rush times. I found the mini-bar prices to be excessive and avoided it altogether, which is unfortunate for a place that has so many potential conveniences.

I truly enjoyed my week at Grand Hotel De La Ville. The location couldn’t be better, just a short walk to the center of Sorrento. The rooftop pool became my favorite spot. the views were breathtaking, especially during sunset. I always found sunbeds available, which was a relief. My room was spacious with gorgeous decor and a comfortable bed. I appreciated the little things like the free water at the rooftop bar and the extensive breakfast options. The staff were friendly and always willing to help, particularly Samuele, who made dining a delight. However, I did notice some minor issues like inconsistent Wi-Fi access and a couple of ants in my room that needed attention. Also, the drink prices were a bit steep, but I guess that's expected in such a touristy spot. Despite those hiccups, I would gladly return to this lovely hotel.

Just a great fit for a fleeting moment in Sorrento with good price-value balance. The bed was really comfy and rooms were cleaned daily. Tip, be aware of the football pitch nearby if you’re looking for quiet on the balcony.

But honestly, the cleaning service was slower than a snail on vacation. Guess they took 'relaxing atmosphere' a bit too seriously!

My solo stay was unforgettable, especially with breakfast under the lemon trees! The rooftop bar offered breath-taking views of the Mediterranean. I highly recommend exploring the nearby lemon farm for some delicious limoncello to take home. Don’t miss the heated pool for a refreshing dip!

I enjoyed the spaciousness and cleanliness of my room. it provided a comfortable stay. The breakfast served outdoors in the garden area was delightful, as was the breathtaking sea view. The rooftop pool and bar offered a perfect ambiance for relaxation and socializing in the evening.

The noise from outside at night was occasionally disruptive, impacting my rest.
